Emerald lake nestles in a narrow valley near my hometown in Colorado. It is always a vibrant hue of green and indigo, but I think it is most stunning in fall when the vegetation at its banks turn crispy and the shades of the mountain saturate. This painting is part of the Gothic trio series.
