Living in Montana, I saw plenty of animals in my day-to-day adventures. Winter is definitely the easiest time to spot them since the blank canvas of snow puts every creature on display. I just saw my first pack of wolves recently in Yellowstone National Park. The Junction pack had 7-8 black wolves and one gray wolf like the one pictured here. The tomte (santa) hat adds a silliness to make an otherwise mundane portrait cheery.
