Make your art stand out online.

Are you an artist or gallery working with physical mediums who needs a website?

Let A fellow Artist take the burden of creating a website and portfolio off your shoulders, so you can focus more on your art.

Hiya, I’m Sofia!

Website designer, Sofia Deer, in a flower crown

Artist, designer, and caffeine-fueled color addict. I’m all about bold hues, killer designs, and that perfect cinnamon roll. Powered by coffee and creativity, I turn everyday moments into vibrant, feel-good visuals.

As an artist who worked with (mostly) physical mediums my whole career, it took a pandemic and a life upheaval to understand the need to establish an impactful online presence.

Maybe you’re wondering, β€œwhy is having a website as an artist essential??”

It tells your unique artistic story.

It showcases your work.

It builds recognition.

And it can help you sell.

Side note: Want to hear my artistic story? I wish I was joking, but it includes double arm casts.

Still not convinced? Np, let’s talk in hypotheticals

Raise your hand if you’ve been in this boatπŸ™‹β€β™€οΈ

A sales rep pitched you the "website of your dreams and an 1100% increase in revenue" for $$$$$.

What did they show you?

A boring, outdated site that looked like it came from 2005β€”stock photos, bland layout, the whole meh package. They hyped it up like it was gold.

Spoiler: it wasn’t. Pass!

Portrait of Website Designer near me

Seriously though, want to make a website that leaves everyone in awe?

Sweet, me too! Here’s what I bring to the table:

  1. An ΓΌber-personalized approach: I invest time in understanding your brand and your vision. Share your craziest idea with me and we’ll try to make it happen. I may love color, but don’t let that put you off if minimalism is more your game. My entire wardrobe is greige.

  2. An annoying attention to detail: I pay microscopic attention to the finer points, ensuring that your site not only looks great but also functions smoothly across different devices and browsers. Responsive design is my jam (preferably strawberry-rhubarb flavored).

  3. Dedicated, ongoing support: I don't just deliver a finished product and walk away. I'm committed to providing continued support and updates to keep your website running at its best, but I’ll also provide a DIY guide for website maintenance if that’s more your speed.

  4. Coffee (or tea!) and collaboration: I value your input and see this as a collaborative process. We’ll have many virtual coffee sessions to get feedback so that you receive a site that you’re truly happy with.

  5. Ace affordability: I offer competitive rates without compromising on quality, making professional website design accessible to a wider range of businesses. Remember my story about the $$$$$ website heralding back to the early 2000s? You won’t find that kind of bullsh*t here.

  6. A constant curiosity: I never stop learning and staying updated with the latest design trends and technologies. This ensures your website will be modern and up-to-date.

  7. Multiple language support: I work in both Swedish and English, wahoo!

How does this work?

We have an initial, completely free, discovery call

This is where we see if it’s a good fit. I learn the pain points of your current website and we talk about what inspires your art (because this should influence how your website looks and feels too!).

Let’s work together!

If everything sounds wonderful and you’re like, β€œyes, let’s do this!” I’ll send you a contract to sign, an invoice, and a questionnaire. Please note that you will also need to have copy and photos prepared for your website, as this falls outside the scope of my work.

Contract signed, design block booked

Depending on availability, I’ll start working on your website ASAP. We can decide on specific deadlines as needed, but typically the turnaround will be 2-4 weeks.

You’ll hear from me, a lot

This is your website, so of course I want your input. At the start of the design block, we’ll review your questionnaire, send over any domain details, and begin transferring assets and copy if necessary.

We’ll set up a call to go over your website for final edits

We’re so close! This is where you can tell me things like β€œcan we make this section more playful?”

Signed, sealed, delivered

Bam, your website is live and ready to dazzle the world! I’ll provide DIY website update tutorials, but I’ll still be available for 6 months should any issues come up.

FAQs

  • In my opinion (and based on unofficial research and testing of many other website builders), Squarespace sings sophistication while also being a powerhouse of a machine.

From a more practical standpoint, it's low maintenance in the long term and has excellent 24/7 support. Adding products, creating style guides, processing orders-- it's made so effortless here. It's also very secure because it's a closed-source platform.

  • That's totally fine! I can easily move you over to Squarespace without too much of a headache.

  • I'll need access to your domain and previous website, plus any assets and copy. Feel free to provide style guides or inspiration, etc. too. But this is all covered in the questionnaire, so no need to worry!

  • Depending on availability, asap. The turnaround is 2-4 weeks depending on the project's complexity. Ideally we don't have it happen when you're on vacation, because we will need to stay in touch :)

  • If my vision speaks to you, probably! But of course let's chat and see.

  • Copy and assets (i.e. product photos), website domain registration costs, and the monthly or yearly subscription to Squarespace.

In case you missed it, apart from web design, I channel my creativity into my watercolor painting, where I paint landscapes, animals, and flowers I encounter on my adventures.
